Word of mouth referral is
the #1 source of new parents for Christian schools in America.
You can expect that between 60% and 90% of new parent
enrollments to your Christian school will come from word of
mouth referral
There are two basic ways to
increase your word of mouth referral: (1) Improve
program quality -- in the right ways, and (2) Work
proactively with those who refer -- adding fuel to the
proverbial fire.
What program improvements
will increase word of mouth referral to your school the most?
Differential Diagnostics is GraceWorks' premier tool to help
Christian schools understand exactly that:
Differential Diagnostics is quite a
product! I have seen far less
reported to schools by processes that involve in-person visits
by evaluation teams. The statistical analysis is certainly more
sophisticated than most school evaluations.

By the numbers -- in a plain
English report of over 100 pages -- Differential Diagnostics tell
you what thrills, frills, and chills parents at your
Christian school. We'll tell what improvements are
highest leverage solutions, likely to increase your word
of mouth referrals the most.
The Differential Diagnostics Results Report was a great blessing
to our school's leadership team. Using plain, understandable
language, we were able to develop some
useful, effective strategies to help improve our school, making
it more attractive to our current and future families. Our
ability to minister to the young people in our community has
been enhanced by the results shared in the report. I would
recommend the DD to any school who needs reliable data to
measure their effectiveness in meeting the needs of their
clients.

What Is Differential
Diagnostics?
Differential Diagnostics is a two-step internet survey process
that takes about 3 months to finish.
Step 1:
GraceWorks' Parent Satisfaction and Referral Survey (PSRS).
Based on the two most researched satisfaction questions on
earth, GraceWorks has normed parental satisfaction and
willingness to refer for Christian schools in America.
The Parent
Satisfaction and Referral Survey (PSRS) tells you how your
Christian school rates to all Christian schools in our database,
in simple percentile ranks. Not just your school as a
whole, but various subgroups as well -- 3rd grade parents,
Generation X, Board members, teachers, parents with household
income over $200,000.
Equally
important, the PSRS identifies Promoters -- people willing to help
you with various marketing tasks, and now, new parent leads.
Plus, through
two sets of open-ended questions, the PSRS tells you (and
GraceWorks) what is on the minds of your parents -- what they are
concerned about, and how they think about it. These
thoughts become the foundation for Step #2: the
Differential Diagnostic Survey itself.
The PSRS is
the essence of parsimony -- all of the above in an internet
survey that
takes the average parent about 4 minutes to complete.
WOW! What a report.
I spent a couple of hours last night going through it. I am
amazed at how such a simple-questioned survey can give such
valuable insight to the school. I will obviously be spending
more time with the report. I love the various angles in which
you can view the data. This can really help us determine not
only what the issues are but also who they affect.

Step #2: GraceWorks
Differential Diagnostic Report. Using several dozen pages of comments by
Promoters, Passives,
and Detractors, a GraceWorks' senior consultant develops
a full yearly quality parent survey.
Because every
school is different, the Differential Diagnostic survey is
unique for every Christian school -- we write each one from
scratch.
The heart of
the Differential Diagnostic Report is the differential question,
which asks parents to rate the relative importance and
effectiveness of 80 - 100 program elements. These are
extensively analyzed, using advanced statistics, to determine:
Thrill me
elements -- The "Wow" factors that create enthusiastic
Promoters,
Disgust me factors -- What turns off parent referrals --
or even flips the switch, creating Detractors,
Annoy me -- those pesky problems that dampen referral
enthusiasm, and
Frill me
-- program elements that aren't helping you increase overall
satisfaction or willingness to refer.
The report uses extensive
statistical analysis (ANOVA, Factor Analysis, Correlations) to
determine:
-
What program elements
relate together, answering questions like, "What does
teacher professionalism look like in the minds of parents?"
-
What program elements
are most important to Promoters and Passives /
Detractors, which is used to determine strategies to
increase the former and decrease the latter.
-
Improving what program
elements will most increase willingness to refer, and
overall satisfaction.
-
Your "Top 10s":
strengths, weaknesses, most important program elements, most
effective problem elements, highest leverage
improvements.
-
The average Differential
Diagnostic Report also contains over 40 specific, practical
recommendations from our senior level consultants.
GraceWorks' Differential
Diagnostic Report represents nearly 500 hours of internal
programming and development.
